Our Why

As premedical students, our initial exposure to reproductive justice often came through biased or intense online debates. Over time, we’ve come to understand that reproductive justice transcends politics; it’s a core human right.

Reproductive justice means that everyone, regardless of background, has control over their reproductive health. Anything less is inherently unjust.

Why are we, as future doctors, only encountering this now? Without adequate education, many premed students could start medical school unprepared to advocate for these critical rights, potentially impacting the quality of care they deliver.

Doctors hold influential roles in patients’ lives, and it’s essential they are well-informed and impartial. By addressing these educational gaps early, we can better equip tomorrow’s healthcare providers to champion reproductive justice for all.
